Midweek Outdoor Painters – 'MOPS'

Chasing the Lavender

We found out that if the good weather will last few more days, They are going to cut all the lavender, so we had to rush and return to Lullingstone park and paint it before it turn into oils and some other subjects. After a cool comfortable morning with few clouds overhead the sun shined and within seconds it was very hot that we had to run and have our daily picnic under the big umbrellas in the local cafe. Of-cours,e not before we completed our great ritual of painting.

We arrived to the lavender land;

Our paintings were colourful and it was amazing to see what a mix of paint you needed in order to achieve the Lavender colour.

      The mix is hard but the smell is easy every you walk you inhale that beautiful stron smell. I think we played with Ultramarine, alizarin and white. I’ll return later to my own blog and check what you are up too… Not reading your blog regullarly is like not having my heart tick properly!
